About the company
Tablewhere are based at 4 Queens Parade Close, London. N11 3FY In September 2004, the company Tablewhere was purchased by Kim Cotton.
Kim has many years of experience in this industry and is moving Tablewhere into a new direction. Not only will Tablewhere provide a china / tableware matching service for those discontinued and missing items of your valuable and priceless sets, but also provide new china from all the major manufacturers at competitive prices, as well as giftware, crystalware, cutlery and collectables.
The new website represents a major landmark in the history of Tablewhere - for the first time, customers can buy online from anywhere in the world.
The company itself started life as part of a ceramics collectibles business. It was the natural place to look for those who'd realised that a favourite pattern had been discontinued by the manufacturer, to be replaced by the next fashionable design. But it wasn't long before the demand for the service became too much for one department alone and Tablewhere was born.
Years later, the company has gone from strength to strength and the warehouse in London now holds over a million pieces. The success can be attributed to friendly and efficient customer service, supported by a team of specialists, all using state-of-the-art technology. They have an excellent success rate in finding replacements (around 85%) and will not give up until the customer is completely satisfied.
The requests for replacements cover a vast array of different manufacturers, designs and decades, stretching back as far as the early 1900's. Famous designers amongst them include Susie Cooper,Clarice Cliff. and Eric Ravillious.
The most frequently requested patterns were originally available from the 1960's to the 1980's, such as:
- Royal Doulton's Yorktown, Rose Elegans and Old Colony;
- Wedgwood's Hathaway Rose and Florentine;
- Denby's Greenwheat, Gypsy and Memories;
- Hornsea's Contrast and Fleur, and;
- Midwinter's Spanish Garden and Stonehenge.
Whatever pattern you have, Tablewhere should be able to find replacement pieces for you. And since registering your requirements is free, with no obligation to buy, there's absolutely nothing to lose.
Because of the nature of the business, the company relies on people who are willing to sell any amount of their discontinued tableware. It's a situation in which everyone's a winner - one person can benefit from selling an unused dinner service and another can finally enjoy a complete collection again. So if you're able to help us in this way, let us know what pieces you have to sell and perhaps we can reunite someone with a lost treasure.
